Focus & Microdosing

Work

Spreadsheets on spreadsheets on spreadsheets — and honestly, I love it.
That’s something an older version of me would’ve never expected to say. But my current role has completely changed how I work. I’m managing thousands of SKUs, which has forced me to become razor-sharp with organization. You can’t just know COGS, vendors, profitability, inventory levels, and everything else off the top of your head — you have to build reliable systems. For me, that means spreadsheets… and automations (my other true love).

One of my greatest strengths at work is having a big impact while staying lean. I focus on what truly moves the needle and double down on what’s working. I don’t care much for chasing shiny objects or making gut-based decisions, though I will say, my instincts have gotten better with age and experience.

When you operate from a place of confidence — the kind that comes from solid data — everything gets easier. Decisions are clearer. Meetings are shorter. The future feels strategic. And the past? It becomes exactly what it should be: perspective.

Life

Lately, the word that keeps echoing in my mind is “whimsy.”
A quiet reminder that life — especially with a toddler — is meant to be fun. Even the most ordinary moments can feel magical with just a little dose of it.

I hope my daughter looks back and remembers her childhood that way: full of wonder, lightness, and play. Maybe she’ll think I taught her whimsy — but truthfully, she’s the one who’s been teaching me.

Sipping On: Mezcal Margaritas

Preferably with fresh watermelon and a sugar rim. Don’t need to say much more about that.

Reading: “The One Thing” - Gary Keller

We love to say we’re great at multitasking — especially in job interviews — but research shows otherwise. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realized just how powerful it is to focus on less. The One Thing helps you zero in on the single most important task — the one that, when done, makes everything else easier or even unnecessary.

Brand Love: Dragon Hemp

One of the few brands that managed to get me to purchase from an Instagram ad alone.

It was the perfect product, marketed at the ideal time. So, what’s the product, you ask? THC (2.5mg) microdose gummies for sleep. And I guess their target market is almost-40 moms who are still cool but also stressed the fuck out.
