clarity & new beginnings
life
WOOOO, life! What a wild ride. I’ve never experienced higher highs and lower lows than I have this past year - and as we enter the final month, I’m grateful for it all.
January always feels like a new beginning but this one feels different than any of the others before. I could talk for hours about how becoming a mom has changed me. But, in true mom form, I don’t have time to do that. What I will say is that my priorities have never been more clear. I can’t think of a better way to start a new year than that.
📖 Reading: Calypso by David Sedaris
This is my first time reading Sedaris. I mean…what is even happening? I feel like I live inside his brain. I can’t tell whose stream of consciousness is whose anymore. It’s funny, entertaining, and barely a story at all. I’m into it.
📺 Watching: Julia, Season 2
The legend (Julia Child) is back! This show is the perfect combination of motivation, entertainment, and relaxation. We all dream of being French chefs, right?
👩🍳 Cooking: Everything!
I have the next 5 weeks off of work so I’m using this time to get back in the kitchen. Yesterday I made Alison Roman’s A Very Good Lasagna. It is indeed, very good.
🎶 Listening: Fred Again
One of my go-to’s. Some artists just leave you without words, only indescribable emotions, he’s one of those artists for me. Check out one of his piano sessions.
work
It’s over. I just hit the send button on the last email I will ever send from Perfect Keto. I’ve worked in this industry for over 10 years. I’ve seen it at its best and at its worst. I’ve learned more than I could have ever imagined and I’m beyond thankful for every dang day.
As this creaky old door closes, a new and shiny one opens. I start my new gig in January and man, it just feels right. More on that later.
